Credits power your AI analysis. Different tasks use different amounts based on complexity:

Most users stay well within their monthly allocation. Unused credits do not roll over.

Common questions

What happens if I run out of credits?
On the Free plan, you'll need to upgrade to continue using AI features. On paid plans, you can purchase additional credit packs or wait until your credits refresh at the start of your next billing cycle.
Can I switch between plans?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. When upgrading, you'll be prorated for the remainder of your billing cycle. When downgrading, changes take effect at your next billing date.
Is my data secure?
Absolutely. We use bank-grade encryption for all data in transit and at rest. Your patent documents and analyses are never used to train AI models. Enterprise plans include additional security features like SSO and audit logs.
Do unused credits roll over?
No, unused credits do not roll over to the next month. Your credit balance resets at the start of each billing cycle. This helps us keep pricing simple and predictable.

Common questions — Teams

How do team plans work?
Team plans give your organization a shared pool of credits that all members draw from. An admin creates an organization, invites members, and manages billing centrally. Each member signs in with their own account and uses credits from the shared pool.
Can I set limits on what my team can use?
Yes. Admins can restrict which AI models are available to the team, set a default model, monitor usage per member, and review audit logs — all from the org dashboard.
How do I switch between personal and team accounts?
Use the organization switcher in the dashboard navbar or in the VS Code extension status bar. When you select an organization, all your requests use the team's pooled credits. Switch back to your personal account anytime.
Can I add more members or credits to my team plan?
You can invite more members up to your plan's limit (10 for Teams, 100 for Enterprise). If you need additional credits, admins can purchase credit packs from the org billing page. Need a custom plan? Contact our sales team.
